We’ve recently been out in La Rochelle installing the Integrel System on Kaiju, a brand new Neel 51 Trimaran. We caught up with Bob (Owner of Kaiju), to see why he chose Integrel over a traditional generator.
Bob, what made you choose the Integrel System?
I have owned boats previously and always had standalone gensets, on our last Lagoon catamaran we had a top of the range generator… In all honesty, the generator always broke, it was inefficient, a gas hog, noisy and smelly… The issue was, I needed this to power my boat!
When researching systems for my new Neel 51, I came across the Integrel system and was hugely impressed – Also, it’s compatible with Volvo Penta engines, of which, I have owned and operated for over 5 years and never had any problem with these propulsion engines. We motor a lot, having a system that allows me to not only motor but generate vast amounts of energy at the same time is great!
I am now killing two birds with one stone, motoring and filling up my battery banks, what an awesome system and I am excited to live with it and further test it on the high-seas.
